Marilyn's Views on...

Education "I support our educators wholeheartedly. We must give them the tools they need to help prepare our students for the future. These tools include textbooks, modern classrooms equipped with computers and connections to the Internet, as well as technical expertise through continuing education. These tools are not cheap, but the investment will be worth it."

Economy "A good public education system is part and parcel of developing a robust state economy. In many ways, it is more important to a state's economic success than business incentives. In the new economy, education plays a vital and primary role. The challenge we face is to develop a world class educational system, because the new economy is here to stay."

Health Care "In the new century, maintaining and improving our health care system will be one of our most important challenges. My record shows that I am commited to first-rate health care and want to make it one of the state's priorities."
